Safer Internet Day

On Monday 11th February, the school took part in an assembly which formed part of a nationwide Safer Internet day. This year the focus was on ‘Our Internet, Our Choice – Understanding consent in the digital world’. Within the assembly, the children took part in a quiz which made them consider the importance and consequence of asking for consent and giving consent whilst online by exploring examples of when they are asked for permission online. As a follow up to the assembly children took part in a range of activities to improve their understanding further.

The Internet can be a powerful tool for children if they understand how to use it safely – so why not ask your child what they have been learning about and spend time talking with them about how they use the Internet.
