Year 3 Egyptian Workshop

Year 3 launched straight into their exciting new topic – The Mummy’s Curse – with a fantastic drama workshop. The children learned all about the importance of the Nile to people in Ancient Egypt and the power of the pharaohs. This included acting out many different jobs and experiencing a visit from the pharaoh! Later on they explored one of the most famous archaeological discoveries – the tomb of Tutankhamun, learning all about Howard Carter the archaeologist who found the tomb and the curse that many people believe was unleashed when the tomb was opened. It was a great way to ignite the children’s interest in the topic and learn all sorts of historical facts in a fun way.
