Year 4 Survival Sleepover

Year 4 Survival sleepover and day

On Thursday 7th June, the year 4 children and teachers’ survival skills were put to the test. To deepen their understanding of their current topic, the year group returned to school in the evening where they played a range of games outside before settling down to sleep all night in the school hall. After an early start and lots of toast, the year group walked to Wellsley woods where they were met by ranger Stuart. Here the children were given time to create a shelter using natural resources before being taught how to collect drinking water using just a sheet of plastic. As usual the children demonstrated our school values and in particular showed great determination throughout the whole experience.
