Year 6 Think Safe Trip

On Monday 4th June, Year 6 went on a ‘Think Safe’ trip at Aldershot Enterprise Centre. Throughout the morning, we worked closely with specialist adults to develop our understanding of how to keep ourselves safe. We participated in a number of workshops including:

•First aid with St John’s Ambulance
•Stranger danger with the local police
•Range safety with the military police
•Dog safety with Dogs Trust
•Fire safety with the local fire brigade
•Healthy relationships with You Trust
•Railway safety with the British Transport Police
Each and every one of us came away from the trip having learnt a valuable lesson. Some of us will think twice before engaging in a conversation with a stranger whilst others of us are much more aware of how to call the emergency services if they were ever needed. Our teachers in particular were keen to go home and test their smoke alarms. Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed the morning and have taken away valuable knowledge and skills for the future.
