What to do if my child is unwell?
If your child is unwell please call the school on 01252 322156, report it on your ParentMail account or email the school on firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible on the first day of and every day of absence until their return to school.
The school day starts at 8:55am and registers close at 9:00am. If your child arrives after 9:00am they need to enter through the main reception and be electronically signed in by an adult.
If you are unsure whether your child is well enough to be at school, either call the office who will be more than happy to advise or follow the link below for advice from the NHS website.
Advice from Hampshire County Council and other authorities
Term Time Absence
Absence during term time is not authorised unless in exceptional circumstances. Term times are for education, this is the priority. If an event can reasonably be scheduled outside of term time then it would not authorised. Absence during term time for holiday's is therefore not considered an exceptional circumstances. Absences to visit family members are also not granted during term time if they could be scheduled for holiday periods or outside of school hours.
Absence for a bereavement of a close family member is usually considered an exceptional circumstance but for the funeral service only, not extended leave.
Absence for important religious observances are often taken into account but only for the ceremony, not extended leave.
Should your require leave of absence during term time, please complete the blue form from the school office or print off the form from our 'form' section.
