Science at Talavera will provide children with a foundation for understanding the world around them. Our science curriculum aims to develop children’s curiosity and excitement of natural phenomena as well as an understanding of the influence science has had (and continues to have) on the world around them. Children will develop their scientific understanding and knowledge in order to allow them to form and test questions they have about the world. Through engaging tasks and investigations, children should develop a body of key foundational knowledge. In addition to this, they will be encouraged to understand how science can be used to explain what is occurring, predict how things will behave and analyse cause and effect.
