School Lunches

The full plate service is the standard for all HC3S primary school meals, allowing each child to select a main item from the menu, which automatically comes accompanied by carbohydrate, vegetables, and a dessert (fruit is always an option for dessert).

Our menus adhere to the nutritional standards that came into effect from September 2008 and each child will have the opportunity to have at least two portions from a selection of vegetables, salad and fruit with their meal. We will also be continuing to offer additional bread as a free extra to our meals. Water is available throughout the lunch period.

The school meal price in Hampshire is currently £3.00.

Payment for school meals can be made through our online payment system, Arbor.

With over 30 years’ experience of school catering, our successful ethos is to provide healthy, local, responsible sourced food that children love. Our tasty, freshly cooked, nutritious dishes help your children flourish and reach their potential. As part of a balanced diet, our lunches provide a third of a child’s daily calorie intake, to aid concentration levels and give them energy to focus and to play.

In the current climate, we want to assure our schools and their communities that we have rigorous risk assessments in place to make sure our teams and the schools they serve have safe working practices. We follow Government and the Food Standard Agency and Public health advice to the letter.

We know that providing award-winning meals is not enough and at HC3S we go that step further, by helping schools and the wider community to encourage children, parents, carers to live healthy lifestyles and think sustainably. Our added value ‘Food to Flourish Classroom’ resources help teachers educate children in an innovative, food related fashion that cuts across the curriculum. We always doing our best to think sustainably ourselves, you can find out exactly what we are doing as business here.

Celebrate with us throughout the academic year as we support Nutrition and Hydration Week, British Food Fortnight, and National School Meals Week; key events in the food and drink calendar which are lots of fun.
